Your argument has been found out, and you are dancing around the issue.

1) You only have a right to read a book with a valid license.
2) Breaking the terms of the license revokes your right to read the book.

Therefore, by your logic (not mine, to be clear, I am not saying I think you are a thief) you are a thief.

You can't argue that you are allowed to ignore the bits of the license you don't like, but other people aren't.
