I don't sync.

There was a point with a Palm PDA and a PC. Not, IMO, for ebooks. I manage them with Calibre.

I can easily remember a phrase on the last page I read and type that into search on a different ereader / phone / tablet. That's faster than using Sync which needs a cloud service and compatible apps/ereaders from one vendor. A Kobo, Kindle and 3rd party apps on my phone and Tablet CAN'T sync.

With Calibre I can quickly see what books are on which device/app. Also then easy to backup.
