I'm on a tight budget at the moment so I use my two local libraries quite often, and is often the case the books I want I have to put on hold.

I don't download any more than I can read in the 3 week cut off period, although your trick for extending this period sounds tempting.

I also return books early to the library, which frees them up for other borrowers.
