The reason I suggested the Kobo Forma is for the 8" screen and the many more choices of font sizes. In the US, the Forma costs $249.99. A Kindle Oasis costs $279.99. So you are paying more for a Reader with a 7" screen then a Reader with an 8" screen. The Kobo (IMHO) has better firmware then the Kindle. From what I've been reading on MR, the Kindle has gotten a bit confusing with the latest firmware because of how they've implemented their new series feature.
