Some years before I retired and decided to move to the Philippines, I had already moved on to eBooks so had stopped buying pBooks. At the peak I had close to four thousand pBooks.
My Filipino sister-in-law is a reader so I took the bulk of my pBooks back to the paperback exchange and swapped them for books she would like (Romances) and used them as packing in boxes of stuff I was shipping to the Philippines. They all arrived in good condition and my sister-in-law was very happy about this because pBooks are very expensive in the Philippines - even second hand.
Since we have moved to the Philippines I now only have one book cabinet which contains pbooks of sentimental value, like my Ace Double collection, old college text books and some other special books.
My wife now only keeps a few pot plants in the house (her choice) because her collection of plates and ornaments take up a lot of room.
