Automatic adding is a little buggy sometimes.
How exactly did you put the file into your folder? Downloading files directly in there is a bit bad practice, either adding an incomplete file or causing the autoadder to stall out.
Sometimes it stalls for no good reason though. Job Spy's "tickle autoadder to wake up" usually helps.
