I have played around with my device the last couple of days, downloaded a bunch of dictionaries, so that I've got goldendict all set up. Mainly, I've been reading in Russian in Koreader using Aard2 with Russian wiktionary, which works great. Neoreader also looks good, but when I try to access 3rd party dictionaries it complains that I should first install them, even though I have both goldendict and aard2 installed..
My optimal setup would be to set up Koreader to read in Russian and the other readers to be used for a variety of languages using goldendict. The problem is that all readers except Koreader and Neoreader look horrible: the text is unfocused and blurry, elements in the UI are hard to see and it's almost impossible to read. In Alreader I found a setting to optimize for e-ink, but that didn't do much. In the others I haven't even found that much. I have Librera Pro, Moon Reader Pro and Alreader installed on the device.
So how do I configure them to look good enough to use? Any help with this appreciated!

goldendict and aard2 are dictionary readers; they are not dictionaries. You need to add dictionaries to them otherwise they are empty. I generally use *.bgl dictionaries. stardict work too, but that is an older format, with maybe not as good content.
Regarding visual problems, I do not use Alreader. I use
Alreader Pro X. I highly reccommend you use Alreader Pro X. The interface is better, it's much simpler to use, less problems with e-ink.
Also goldendict works better with it.
Edit: I've looked for Alreader Pro X, but it's hard to find. Weird. I have an apk specifically for e-ink. Works great. But I cannot find it on the web. Maybe I can upload it somewhere.
