UPDATE: It does connect now, but no books are shown.

Calibre 3.4.8 server on Mac OSX11.6 El Capitan is running and is accessible via Browser over LAN.
KOBO firmware 4.25
• KOBO is set up to connect to Calibre server from KOreader v.12.2020, both auto-detect IP and manual IP tried, pw set, inbox directory set.
• KOBO via WiFi is visible as connected in router
• Response on "connect" in KOReader to Calibre server: "Cannot connect to Calibre server".
• Response in OPDS Catalog, when pressing "Local calibre Library": Cannot get catalog for
http://192.168.xxx.xxx:8080 - this is on both manual auto connect
• KOBO rebooted. Still no connect.
• This koreader thread at github ends at a workaround, where authentication is sent un-encrypted (over LAN is fine - but dangerous, if WAN)
https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/3953
As a workaround, one can enable basic authentication support in Calibre:
Calibre -> Preferences -> Sharing over the net -> Advanced tab and set:
"Choose the type of authentication used": "basic" and restart content server.
• But how long to wait, when clicking the Calibre library in OPDS Catalog? [25 books in Calibre] = half hour later: Okay, it connects, but it does not load the books from Calibre.
= Anybody?
