OK, there's an interesting new development. It turned out that "removing" the 5.7.2 install via the MSI and reinstalling it did change the version number to 5.7.2 - but it also removed ALL kepub plugins. By default, I convert all books to kepub before sideloading onto my Libra, which is how I noticed the absence (image 1). I reinstalled the kepub output, and restarted, all seemed fine (image 2). But after shutting Calibre down and restarting, it reverted to 5.7.0. as in image 3

I repeated the entire process, and replicated the results. This time, before shutting Calibrre down, I tried "restart in debug mode" (log attached). It restarted as 5.7.2, but again, when actually shutdown then restarted it reverts to 5.7.0
