Ok I went back for the 4th time and reentered the email address in Calibre and in Amazon preferences and tried again and now it is working. Not sure what changed! Both emails to my Kindle worked and to my android kindle worked. This is very confusing but it all seems to work now. The only problem still existing is that my Kindle for PC will NOT sync with my Kindle reader or Android Kindle but Amazon told me that that would not work. Also they are all listed as 'DOC' and not 'Books' but I can live with that.
