Yes...I guess if you are really dedicated, you could take a blank database with the same structure that Calibre uses and write a program to populate it, or, of course, you could add all of the metadata for each book directly into the db by hand. As far as I can tell, Calibre Companion only needs the database and the books themselves. (I could be wrong, but when I look at the folder in my OneDrive, there are no config files I can see, only author/book folders and a db file.)
