As far as loading up the Reader with books, I agree that the Connect software doesn't really help with large sets of books very much. I'm going to keep my Sony purchased books in one collection, and transfer them to the internal memory as desired. Other free books will be managed by me outside the software, and moved directly on the SD card so they don't end up cluttering up the software library. We'll see if that approach works.
