Everything you are doing can be done with Calibre and the Reading List plugin. Once it's setup, it become very easy to use. And as for getting confused, it's less likely that will happen with Calibre.

Calibre is the one that was creating extra work for me and causing all sorts of additional work and confusion with duplicated libraries. I apologize for not being clear about that.
Calibre is not for everybody. I understand that Calibre is powerful and customizable, but it requires a lot of up-front work to get to that point. I'm a software engineer by training and I don't want the extra work that comes with setting up Calibre; I just want to read my books.
Using Trello is the first time I've actually been happy with my book tracking and I couldn't resist sharing about it.
