Personally, I find the slab serfs in Bookerly to be a bit more attractive than the didone/modern serifs in Bookerly Display. Looking at the capital A, M, N, U, V, W, X and Y, I also dislike the difference in the slanted lines typical of a didone/modern serif typeface. I've attached an image of the capital X in both open in FontForge.
