I deleted books from my Kobo Clara HD, edited them in Calibre and put them back onto the device, however, I still see the deleted books when I search them on KoReader in the Calibre metadata.

The file calibre-books.lua seems to contain that information, but it is now several hours old, even though I just finished putting new books on and Calibre transferred the metadata. Simply deleting that file will create a new one, but then, tags and series information are missing that were showing up properly before. Extracting and pruning metadata directly on KoReader also does not change this, so doesn't Calibre's "update cached metadata on device". For some reason, KoReader fails to properly refresh the metadata on the device.

How could I force a refresh of calibre-books.lua and make the missing files go away?
