Question Screen inversion / Night mode

Just curious if anyone has managed to get this working on later Onyx devices running Android 9 or 10? I downloaded the hidden settings shortcut from the Play store, and used that to get into the accessibility settings on my Note2. In there is a 'Colour inversion' mode, which on my normal Android tablet will invert the screen when switched (same as night mode on the Kobo/Kindle).

On the Onyx it does make the screen flicker when switched but then reverts to normal. (Strangely after I experimented a colour inversion switch also appeared in the Android swipe down menu briefly.) I also enabled the developer mode and tried using the 'night mode' settings in there as well, to no effect.

Looks like Onyx is making sure that you'll need to buy a version 4 device if you want this feature when they will enable it in the OS.. seems a shame that they have deliberately overridden Android to prevent us using this built in feature.. but if someone out there has cracked it, let us know!
