My apologies. I sent you a first pm to confirm that my private messages were working and to thank you for that advice. I then realized that you were the same person who's been helping everyone else in this thread, so I replied to my own message to ask if you could also help with the image. I first sent it to myself by mistake, being a total noob in these bulletin boards, then sent it to you in a new private message. I apologize for being pushy, that was not the intention, what you experienced fro my side was much more technological clumsiness than it was impatience.
Thank you for sharing the SD card image. I was able to put it on the sd card, but sadly my Kobo Glo HD doesn't seem to accept it. When I put it in, the device shows a brief red light but the screen remains black and nothing happens. Whereas when I restore the backup image I took before I loaded the factory image, the device shows a white screen, 3 animated dots appear and then the screen goes black again and nothing happens. The same happens when I try the reset button: powers on, 3 dots, then black screen and nothing after that.
I'm quickly running out of ideas on how to save this reader from the electronics graveyard, so if anyone happens to recognize this situation and has any insight or advice, I would very gratefully welcome it.
