Thank you, Cathy, for your help. What I did was open up my old PC and went to the old Kindle for PC library. I fiddled about between both computers and Kindle for PC libraries. I eventually managed to get all the books in my new Kindle for PC on the new computer. However, there is still a problem.

Every time I call up the Kindle for PC software on the new computer now, I have to constantly sign in to Amazon. Once I had signed into Amazon again, I then have to approve it through an email each time I sign in. This is a constant pain.

Not only that, if I try to open a book that I bought or downloaded from Amazon, I get a message that says, “Please register your device first to open this content.” Any of the other books that were not bought or downloaded from Amazon, I do not have a problem with.

1. What do I need to do to stop the constant procedure of signing in?
2. How do I register my device so that I can open the content?

Are the two related in some way?

Thanks

HB

Addendum: how do I get Calibre in this instance to manage books as you say?
