Aaaah, but have you done it wearing a mask?
A couple of months ago I had to take a plane trip on short notice to help my dad when he got out of the hospital after a minor surgery. The flights had very few passengers so we were distanced, everyone was in masks, and California wasn't surging at the time so it wasn't too risky.
But then on the flight home, I was reading a weepy romance novel, and let me tell you, crying in a mask is not pleasant! I felt as if everyone would think I had Covid-19 if I sniffled. But if I didn't sniffle, my mask was going to be a mess, and totally gross. So I kept taking sips of the tiny water bottle they gave each of us, and surreptitiously wiping my nose when I did.
Never again!
Of course, I'm not going to fly again right now anyway in the midst of the surge, but if I do fly again sometime in a mask, I'm only reading murder mysteries!
