If you had it in writing, I wonder if it would be possible to request a partial chargeback through your credit card for the amount in import taxes which you had to pay?

They took nearly half a million dollars Canadian from backers for their 13.3" device, and then started selling those devices from their own webstore before fulfilling their obligations to their backers. If you go to the comments section on their shuttered Indiegogo campaign page, there are still backers who have not received their promised perks even though Michael has claimed to have sold over 5000 of the devices. That certainly seems like thievery to me. Certainly unethical.
