Found this video on YouTube of the 2012 Amazon conference that launched the original Paperwhite. I'ts interesting to think how much the devices have matured and evolved, but also to note the essential continuity and, perhaps, lack of radical change. One thing I'll note is that even with my distaste for Bezos personally, he's a good performer in this setting
