Silent Blade is the first in the short two-book Kinsmen series by Ilona Andrews. Although Andrews' Kate Daniels and Hidden Legacy series are much better known, I really liked both of the Kinsmen books, and wish they'd write more. But this series has been dormant for quite a while, so I don't think that's going to happen. In any case,
