I am still looking for an e-ink device to read pdfs.
I tried a conventional tablet instead, but got awful migraines, and am returning it.
Given the prices of 10" tablets, and compatibility issues reported with the ReMarkable 1, I am wondering how well 7.8" tablets such as the Boyue Mars work as pdf readers.
I have an astigmatism, and can't get perfect correction, so resolution isn't very important to me but size is critical.
I'd usually need to split the page. I'd probably want to switch between viewing quarters of the page, in portrait mode, and viewing halves, in landscape, when tables or text stretch across the page.
My preliminary tests here suggest that 7.8" may not be enough for some aggressively-styled pdfs:

I am considering Boyue Mars + Orion Viewer.
