It's pretty darned SLOW at re-flowing (which is a legit complaint), but it's definitely NOT generating PDFs.

If you check the file system where Remarkable stores its data on your computer (for my Mac this is: /Library/Application Support/remarkable/desktop/) you can see it stores a pdf in the each folder that has a .epub ebook. When you change the font or line spacing it rebuilds the pdf to your chosen font/line spacing - which is presumably why it is so slow. The pdf does not hold any of your annotation though.
