Actually, I didn't suggest replacing <table> with <div>. I said I suspected the <table> was the root of the problem (although I still don't know why that would be).

My "solution" was going to be to use the kobopatch system to force a bit of extra generic CSS, namely table{font-size:100%}, which is what worked for me.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. If you've found a different way around it that works for the people who want to use these dictionaries and which doesn't rely on kobopatch, all credit to you.
