That's one of the reasons I didn't mention Andrew Vachss. Brilliant stuff, but binge-read it? Noooooooooo.

I'm big on "lighter" for bingeing. Holmes, Nero Wolfe, Cat Who...and yes, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, which I happen to love.

There are also the various series by Charlaine Harris, the best-known of which is the Sookie Stackhouse books (aka "True Blood"), which was MUCH better in print and OMG! Did we all really forget Harry Bosch????
