In the meantime I'm taking a break from myself and writing a private detective story under a pseudonym, set in London as it ramps up for the 2012 Olympics. Provisional title - The Blue Turk.

Meet Joe Luna, failed mesmerist, failed boxer and not doing too well as a private investigator either. But Joe's luck is about to turn. One of London's richest and most notorious gangsters, Harry Bingham, wants to know where the loot went from his recent Keeley Diamond heist, and he wants to pay Joe to find the thief in amongst the thieves. But catching a thief is never an easy business, not with two rival gangs, the whole of the Met and a strange mystical statue standing in the way.
