Of Course.

Where to find it?
Wait a minute - it seems from description that perhaps it is only the Boyue reader or something.
So this reader can see an external exfat card?
What about similar thing for Alita?
Alita can use ExFAT over USB OTG.
It is nonsense in the tray because such a construction is intended for internally formatted cards - but is sometimes abused differently.

But still, an external exfat sd card should be accessible from anywhere, from file managers, from Cool Reader, from PC connected to the reader by usb.
It will be anyway - via USB OTG.

And anyway, if those zim files can be split into smaller ones, then
it is really a software bug if they cannot be accessed from an external sd card.
It should be fixed.
Why?
I would like to have a lexicon from A-Z available - and A-Z requires 38 GB.
I don't want A-M because there is only 23 GB of space or a very slow reading from an USB-device.
