I don't know whether the SD cards can be formatted and used as internal at Mars, Muses and Mimas.

Ares and Alita cannot be used underwater - but the SD tray version can increase the internal storage considerably.
wikipedia-all.zim (38 GB) cannot be used on the built-in storage (it is too big) or on external SD - bigger internal storage (an internally formatted SD card) is required for this.
