Oh wow, that stinks. Yeah I can't get it out of sleep mode with the power slider.

I'd be willing to completely "give up" a button to act as the power button. For example, the volume buttons which I never use. Is there any way to do this?

Edit: it appears as though it's definitely a software issue. If I move the power slider like 20 times quickly the Kindle DX reboots. It's really werid.
