You're talking about a ten-year old device. I've never actually heard of anything like that (I think, but, again, ten-year old). And I certainly have no such issue on either a K2i on 2.5.8 or a K3 on whatever the final 3.x release is.

And on a more general etiquette level, your post is less than 24H old.
