There must be also morphology dictionaries present. At least for GoldenDict.
So that the root is correctly extracted, or something like that. Still, it not always works.
Some languages are rather simple, like English, words mostly without endings anyway.
But others cause more problems.
I am using many various dictionaries simultaneously with GoldenDict.
And GoldenDict is invoked from Cool Reader.
I am using this scheme in all of my android readers, even in T1 and T2.
Cool Reader + GoldenDict + many dictionaries for multiple languages.
For English, I have installed among others: Urban Dictionary, Encyclopedia Britannica, American Heritage Dictionary, Longman, Hornby and other Oxford dictionaries, Cambridge, Collins, Macmillian, Merriam-Webster, Roget, WordNet, various slang dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms, idioms, collocations, etc. I likely forgot some of the more important ones in the list... Also some dictionaries in multiple flavors, especially Oxford, Webster.
When used on multiple dictionaries GoldenDict finds the word (or expression) let's say not in all of them, but only in some. You may have your dictionaries in the order you want, so that if the word is found in multiple dictionaries you have your favorite dictionaries at the top. You may ignore the rest. But sometimes a word is found only in the last one…
