Because it is only 6" - that is why I am using it in landscape.
And I can hang it on a finger - it is a bonus.
No need for landscape for a 7.8" reader. Or 8".
As to 6 GB enough for some books: but not for offline dictionaries and encyclopedias. That is one of the biggest advantages of an e-reader over a paper book: one touch lookup when reading a book.

I don't know the T2 you are describing. I only know something like that from the T3 and I don't have it. I've also changed my view of lighting and only use devices with lights.
I also differentiate between:
-
read a book. I neither need nor want encyclopedias, dictionaries, or anything else - I just want the text and the ability to easily get it, e.g. via WiFi. And I would prefer this in two columns in landscape format on an at least 8 inch and light device. 8 inches are too big for on the go, so I read one column on my Poke2 in portrait format. And for the plane there is a Tolino Shine 3 that has been converted to 256 GB. I don't need a pen either.
-
work with documents. Only in this case do I need a large storage capacity and for this I have equipped my Likebooks (Ares and Alita) with internally formatted 128 GB SD cards. If I need even larger amounts of data, there is OSB-OTG. The pen and keyboard are very comfortable in this area. For on the go I use the Likebook Ares and at home only for portrait format pdfs the Likebook Alita and otherwise the Boox Note Air; and in the process I discovered that what was important to me in the past, namely always having all the data with me, has become secondary. Now the only thing that matters to me is that I have it when I need it.
And the free 25 GB of Note Air are sufficient for this and the rest can be obtained via WiFi and USB-OTG.
Interestingly, the features of the Boox Note Air offer me so much better that I no longer take the advantage - large memory - of the Likebook Alita so seriously, because there are other solutions.
