1.) SD cards in a tray are not designed for changing, using them as removable media is possible, but not very smart - that's what USB-OTG is for.
2.) If there are workflow problems with a device, then it would make sense to adapt the workflow to the device, but not want the device to be adapted to the workflow, or even complain that the device causes problems in this workflow.
3.) If an app fails on a device, it is the app, not the device (read the 1 star ratings for this app).
