still didn't work for me from the app window. copy | pasted link from app window into browser, *closed calibre completely*, clicked 'windows installer'. it finally downloaded completely, and the install ran fine.

no idea whether closing calibre totally before downloading had anything to do with my success this time, but whatever. main thing is, it worked.
