Since they're now pubbed by Open Road in the US, the titles in the excellent (IMO) Gideon Oliver series by Aaron Elkins go on sale a lot, so I don't post anymore.

But just in case you haven't tried the series and might want to, two collections comprising the first seven titles in the series are on sale right now at Kindle and Kobo US (where they are coupon/VIPable) for $3.99 each. This works out to pretty nice pricing for either collection if you need all of the titles. Per SYKM, the last title in the first collection, Old Bones, won the 1988 Edgar Award for Best Mystery. I'm actually surprised this series hasn't won/been nominated for more awards - I really enjoy it.

Info and Kindle link for the first collection, which includes Fellowship of Fear, The Dark Place, Murder in the Queen’s Armes, and Old Bones are in this previous post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=3764172
And here's a Kobo US link: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/the...ies-volume-one

Info and links for the second collection, which contains Curses!, Icy Clutches, and Make No Bones are in this previous post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=3781239
