15 chapters? pfft That's nothing. These are very long, richly detailed books, and the first book in particular required a lot of set up before something game-changing happens. Once it does, it does with a vengeance. But if you like nothing but plot and getting in and out in 50,000 words, these books most definitely aren't for you.
