There are a lot of useful changes since 4.16.13268. So yes, you should update the firmware to 4.24.15676. Once you download the firmware file (.zip), keep it as you'll need it for the patches. Read the first page of the firmware threads for firmware after the one you are running to find out what's new since then.

The firmware versions after yours up to the current one are...
