Cool, this one is sitting near the top of my TBR pile right now!
I quite like the Russell/Holmes books, especially since some of them tend to be more "Great Game" style books, sort of like the Conan Doyle ones where Holmes helps out the British government. And, I've really enjoyed reading a lot of history of that period, so I like mysteries set then too. (I think I started being interested in it with Kipling's
Kim, and then I read Peter Hopkirk's
Quest for Kim: In Search of Kipling's Great Game, and then I read more of Hopkirk's other "straight" history books, and then I was hooked on the period/region. And of course, one of the titles in King's Russell/Holmes series is called just
The Game and ties in with
Kim...)
