I wanted a less portable 12.9", but because Apple again forgot to include a card slot, I had no choice but to go for 1 TB. At a crazy price. Still, I was not able to get one unless I agreed to pay hundreds of euros extra. Like well over 2000 €.
On the other hand, a much cheaper 12.4" Samsung has a better Super AMOLED screen and a card slot, so even 256 GB is enough. But no luck in getting one either. As elusive as Boyue

So my phone has a 7.2" screen and more RAM than the best tablets. Perhaps I just should count it as a tablet.
