I'm sorry I didn't give enough information. I am now using the latest 5.3 of Calibre; however it has happened with the last 2 Calibre versions. Previously it would reconnect on the 2nd or 3rd retry and I could transfer books. Now, Calibre closes immediately upon communication with my Samsung tablet. These two have played together perfectly for the last 3 years. The driver idea is interesting. Could you suggest which driver and how to update or repair it? Not one of my strengths. Btw, I took all books out of Calibre and it still refuses to talk to the tablet. Oh, and OS is Windows 10.
