You can change the CSS in an ebook in Calibre to have different margins. Setting an explicit line spacing is usually a bad idea, but also possible in CSS. Only early Kindles had a file you could edit to change the margin.

I'm aware I can use my own font, which is why I said i don't want to use the publishers chosen one. I'm also aware you can edit margins as it's what I already do.
I'm *explicitly* asking if you can alter the line spacing to be somewhere between settings 1 & 2 and how that would be achieved.
I'll upload some screenshots to explain. I use a font called 'Capita' which is somewhat like Bookerly and for me the narrowest line spacing option is too cramped, but the second (middle) setting is *slightly* too far apart when compared to that setting using Bookerly:

If you compare Capita with Bookerly, Bookerly on the middle setting is kind of between these two. I just want it between these two options.
