I just got a notification on my cell phone offering to extend my KU membership for an additional term. When I clicked (with a bit of trepidation, since I don't usually get offers from Kindle as notifications on my cell phone), it took me to an offer page that showed the same terms/pricing as
this deal posted by @kindleing last November. (I thought the rather odd prices looked familiar and was able to find last year's thread/post about it...)
- 6 months at $47.86
- 12 months $80.30
- 24 months for $143.80
And the notification was clear that it works as an extension to an existing subscription, which is a bit unusual and kind of nice. It seems to me that many/most KU offers require you to be a new subscriber, or at least not a current subscriber.
Having bitten on last year's 24-month offer though, I'm not sure I'm ready to extend for another 2 years

, taking me out three years into the future. That's a long time! But I'm thinking about it. I use KU to binge-read when I find new series on KU that I like, so it's pretty cost effective for me.
And I also like to try out some books to see if I like them, and if I don't, it's no big deal. So we shall see!
Since this came as a notification, I don't have a link, and the offer page it takes me to is personalized for me. But the offer says it's good through 12/31, and presumably someone will eventually come up with a link. If you're interested, keep your eyes open, and watch your cell phone!
