The MOBI file is compressed when it is created. Sending it to Amazon via email does not cause it to be compressed further.
There is one factor that can decrease file size. A Master MOBI (called "MOBI file_type both" in calibre) contains both the old MOBI7 and newer KF8 formats in a single file. If you email that then only the KF8 portion will be delivered to Kindle for Android, reducing the size somewhat.

No, however you can connect the Kindle to a computer via USB and view file sizes that way.

Books emailed to your Kindle apps and devices are not encrypted. They are stored by the Kindle for Android app in an accessible location, exactly where can vary.
On my android device I can find them in a folder named "kindle". The actual file name will be a long string of random letters and numbers with a file extension of ".prc".
Files that correspond to books purchased on Amazon are stored elsewhere.
