Am now totally befuddled
Repeated testing process with
508 books in each of the testing libraries
Default Library structure ... NO noticeable lag displaying
MY Library structure (w custom columns) ... NO noticeable lag
No explanation for disconnect with my earlier results other than perhaps my sensitivity to what I thought I saw.
