Calibre V5 wireless device slowdown
I just found and fixed a problem in the wireless device driver in calibre 5 (python 3) that caused the driver to ignore its device metadata cache. This resulted in CC sending the book metadata to calibre on every connect.

The fix is in calibre source now and will be in the next calibre release, probably 5.3
