Thank you very much. Copying editor_snippets.json to the new instance did the trick! I now have my old snippets which I thought were lost. I have great trouble each time in Ubuntu when upgrading. Gnome seems to be the culprit. I am always experimenting and goofing around and learning new things, so, again, thank you for your help. Best regards, Pop
