Same here, and they're not even consistent about it. I
did get the $5 credit for watching an episode of a show on Amazon Prime Video, even though I've watched stuff on it before. Only thing I can think of is that this was the first time I'd ever watched one of their videos on my phone or tablet. Previously I just watched stuff on my TV using a Roku box.
Since it worked for me, be sure to check in the app on your phone/tablet (if you have one) and see if the banner for earning $5 for watching a video shows up there. I didn't get the email about receiving the credit for about 48 hours after I watched the video. It's also not limited to Prime Day, as I could have used it earlier today when ordering a power strip for dad.
Since I'll be going near the Whole Foods in Knoxville Tuesday, I'll pop in and see if I can find $10 of something to buy and get that credit.
