That is not a valid path, precision is important otherwise we have make assumptions - which may be themselves be invalid. Simplest way to get a path is with File Explorer, viz:

puts "D:\Calibre\Libraries\Books" into the clipboard.

So, I'll assume it's actually "D:\Calibre", which is not the current or old default location. That's okay, you can put libraries where it best suits you, as you can see in my screen shot.

I'm wondering if you've been snagged by the Windows Controlled Folders feature, its an end-point protection (from ransom-ware etc) measure, see ==>> Enable or Disable Controlled Folder Access in Windows 10 | Tutorials

FWIW: I suggest you use the Windows 10 Snip 'n Sketch tool rather than MS Word. Press WinKey+Shift+S and a popup tool bar will appear at the top of the screen, hover the pointer to see what the tools do. The image is clipped as a notification, click it, save as an image (jpg or png) and upload to here via the paper clip icon in Advanced mode. I use IrfanView to mark/highlight the saved image.
