On my system, the cover image would be about 20x20 pixels. It's going to be hard to recognize the book cover at that size and I am not willing to sacrifice the number of lines I see to allow for a larger image. You already have ability to display the book details panel where you can see a much larger book cover image. See the attached image for a 13x20 image of a book cover.
